2022 World Cup – LOW E PVC Fabric

Written by in Sport

As the whole nation sighed in disappointment at the failure of Englands World Cup bid, the Architen Landrell  team cheered at the announcement that Doha will host the 2022 event.

Having worked on the construction of the Doha 2022 Showcase stadium a state of the art 5-a-side football pitch designed to show the world that Qatar can provide the infrastructure for a global event of this kind we are thrilled our hard work has resulted in victory for the Doha bidding team.

Architen Landrell worked for event giants Edwin Shirley Projects to manufacture a PVC coated polyester roof membrane made up hundreds of triangular panels. Made from a low emissivity or Low E coated material, the roof is designed to provide a thermal barrier to reduce the solar gain inside the structure and enhance the effect while minimise the requirement for air conditioning.

With a strong record of event construction projects in Doha and the Middle East, Architen Landrell are keen to be involved in working towards the event itself!
