World renowned architect Zaha Hadid has worked on some of the worlds most impressive structures and has gained her reputation from making the impossible, possible. Her capabilities do not seem to have boundaries and always one to explore new and exciting construction methods, Zaha has embraced the opportunities tensile fabric can offer.

Some of her most prolific structures include the London 2012 Aquatics Centre, the Guangzhou Opera House in China and the Glasgow Riverside Museum of Transport, and having worked with Zaha on several projects (Chanel Mobile Art Pavilion and the Aquatics Centre to name two) we can vouch for the reasons behind her success.

With new details being released of the 2012 Venice Biennale project we are certainly looking forward to seeing how tensile fabric is being used! In a press release, Zaha explains that they want this years exhibition to draw upon ideas of Frei Otto (the father of tensile fabric) and other historically inspirational architects.
